Reminiscence

After a long while, she is once again at the piano, filling the house with the familiar and comforting ring...

I can never fathom how, regardless of how simple the song played is, the sound of ivory keys resonating under her fingers would alway arouse warm and fuzzy feelings within.

It rekindles vivid images of sounds of our childhood; half-awake, sleepy eyed, on a saturday morning, gradually gaining awareness of resonating music from Cramer upright, attempting to figure out if it is Toccata and Fugue in D minor, or a new song that was sung at school earlier in the week. Drifting in and out of sleep as Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata is being played on a lazy afternoon, or belting together in poor imitation of Celine Dion's Titanic.

It was a beautiful time, etched in memory forever.
