Incredulity at Innocence
I am currently in Hong Kong for a short pause with my mother. She's a funny little thing."Yan Ting, how do you pronounce that word over there?"
"It's CAS-CADE, ma."
"Cas-cade? Is this a place for the dead?" inquired in all innocence.
"..............??????"...........awkard pause.................. "NOOOO!!!!" "That's CAS-KET!!!!!" I shrieked!
And everyone turns to look at me.
I really should be more forebearing with my mother.
