Geneva: 6/8/06-8/8/06
Yunwei managed to hitch a flight up north...and we landed our butts first in Geneva.

We gawked....when we first saw the sunflower fields....so here's one of Yunwei's finest works.

Hayfields with Mount Saleve in the background
We stayed on our farm (a rather modern one)...hence the public transport, ahem, tried our patience. Hence the things one may do while waiting for the bus:

Do a mock-up of Charlie's Angels

Hug the hay stacks lying around the fields....

Or steal the grapes that's waiting to ripe under the sun.
Didn't see much of the city but saw more of the countryside. On our second day there we marched up Mount Saleve, which is actually in France.

A church we saw on the way up.

Victory! Not looking very glam though..... *tee hee

View of Geneva from the top

The girl was with her parents on the top....she was so cute that we had to take pic with her.

Our lovely strawbeds....the ultimate Heidi experience.

Ok, so we were half-dead after climbing up Saleve and shopping for chocolates.

Our lovely hostest, Frau Schuppach.

Andrea, a french teacher from german, whom we befriended during our stay on the farm.

A nice youth that gave us directions when we semi-lost our way.

Asians that we met on the way down from Saleve.
In summary....was nice to see Yunwei again.
P/S Notice that Yunwei's eyes are 10 times bigger than mine. UNFAIR!!!!!...that's why she looks photogenic most of the time.......
Weilburg: 22/7/06
Helga extended again a wonderful invitation to a chamber concert in Weilburg. Ahh....music to my ears... Gosh, thanks to her, I get to experience off-beaten paths free from throngs of invading tourists. *grins

Andre on my right, Helga on my left.
We ( or at least I did. =)) had a lovely time listening to the music and sipping wine during intermission, so much so that I fell asleep halfway during the concert.....NOT because it was boring, but that the music was so soothing, one can't be helped but to be lulled into dreams.
Momentary Goodbyes and New Beginnings
Sorry folks, internet connection has not been optimal. But hey, better late then never right? =)

I love this two girls! Weiyao and I met them in our first practical stint here, and Weiyao invited them to dinner ( Singapore-styled curry). They loved it and we had a really hearty conversation. =) Cool. Perhaps when Weiyao and I are not able to find a job in future, we could conquer Heidelberg with our Singapore-based food products. *light bulb and cash register going off.

The lady on the left is our russian teacher, Elena. Wonderful teacher, and the cohort was really interesting. Had the opportunity to sit down with a few of them for dinner once; not too sure if it's possible to keep in contact, but nevertheless, hope that they would be successful in their future endeavours.

2nd row, left to right: Amandine, Vicky, Drew. 1st row on the right: Martha
Vicky and Martha, the warmest and hottest spanish babes I've met. =) Wish them blissful happiness with their respective partners.
These pictures were the last pictures I had with them. Love them all, and if God willing, we could meet someday again.
